Please read these Terms of Use in full before creating an account.

This is a private website for former inmates of the Damn Flies Safari Park and their close associates only. Registration is required before being able to access most of the pages.

All registrations are checked for security purposes so there will be a slight delay before suitably-qualified applicants are admitted to the Safari Park. Applications by persons with no connection to the Safari Park will be refused. We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to decline applications or revoke memberships (yes, we’re that power-crazed). Spammers, imposters and poachers don’t bother, we’ve got it covered.

General: Please answer all of the registration questions (unless marked “optional”).

Visibility of data: Your username and the contents of all fields marked “Can be viewed by Everyone” can be seen in your profile by all site members (or only administrators if you change it to “Can be viewed by Me only”). You cannot block access to your username, which will always be visible to all members.

None of your data can be seen by non-members (as non-members do not have access to the parts of the site containing member data).

By registering you agree not to do anything illegal, hurtful, annoying or just plain weird on this site. Carnivores may however eat other members.

Username: If you feel a bit crazy, please devise a username with an animal/safari feel to it, e.g. brazenostrich, happyhippo, lionlunch. You cannot block access to your username, which will always be visible to all members, and you cannot subsequently change your username (so choose wisely!).

Email address: Your email address cannot be viewed by anyone other than administrators. We may well send you a few emails, but we will not spam you or give your email address to others.

In-site messaging: That said, other members will be able to message you within the site, and when they do the site may automatically send you an email to tell you that that has happened. You may also receive an email when someone comments on your comments. You can control what emails you receive in your Profile’s Settings panel. The default is, “Yes! Yes! Yes! Send me all the emails you like!” but you can alter that in your Profile’s Settings.

Spreading the word: After registering, please immediately tell all of your Mansfield friends about this website and encourage them to register. Also please encourage them to tell all of their ex-Mansfield friends. We want to find as many ex-Mansfielders as possible!

Check your spam folder and whitelist us: Once you register we will send you an activation email. Please click on the link in that email. Some of our emails have been going into spam/junk. If your activation email (sender will be Damn Flies Safari Park) does not appear in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder.

In any case, in order to ensure that our emails will always reach your inbox, please white-list us (usually achieved by right-clicking any of our emails and selecting “not junk”, “not spam”, “friend”, “whitelist”, or whatever else that seems appropriate).
